Inversion I: Abstract
In this lecture, we introduce geometric and algebraic
definitions of Inversion in the Plane. We study basic properties of
Inversion, e.g. what the images of various lines and circles in the plane
are. We derive the distance formula under inversion, and we use it to
solve quickly and elegantly the famous Ptolemey's Theorem.
